How to make a gaming reaction video in premiere pro?

Basically I have an idea of doing a gaming video for my channel to try and spice it up a bit and get some more subscribers and interest in my channel.
I already have the game in mind I am going to play, but I have never done a gaming video before let alone a reaction video.
So I have two questions how exactly do I record the gameplay AND myself, what free programs would you suggest would be the best to use?
And I own adobe after effects and premiere pro, (I'm a student so I got the creative cloud suite on a student discount which includes both) I have never used after effects before apart from for coursework for uni when we had to use the program.
I however now use premiere pro to edit my videos, I used to use moviemaker before I got the suite and became a student.
But how do I edit the two videos in premiere pro, to make them picture on picture so you can see me and hear my commentation of the game, as well as be able to see exactly what I am doing.
This will be the first more creative thing I have done with my channel, I have mostly played it safe with video editing so far.
So if anyone can help me out that would be great!

Personally when I do this I record 3 seperate files at the same time. I have a mic recording with Audacity. An HD camera recording my face (as my webcam on my laptop is crap) and then software recording the game.

I'd suggest doing a sync up on the files. Usually by looking at the camera and counting 1,2,3 you will be able to sync up the audio and the 'you' video. Then do the same on the game capture. Use the menu and count 1,2,3 while moving through the options to sync it up.

When you've done all that, you can import all files into Adobe. If you have the default setup, in the bottom right will be your timeline. With like video 1 video 2, audio 1 and audio 2 etc. Import the game footage to audio and video 1. Import the captured audio of you into audio 2. Then import just the video footage (not the audio) of your face into video 2. You can then resize that video and move it into the corner.

I know this sounds like a lot of work, and it is when you first start doing it. There maybe easier ways out there, but this is the way I have always done it.

If you need some help give me a shout and I will see what I can do. If I can I will try to screen record while I'm doing it so you can see easier.

I use D3DGear or Movavi game capture, or DXtory. I brought 2 of witch one is free. I use Premeire pro to edit. And Logitech softwre record facecam. Just simply import the video in. Add it to the sequence. And ffind places you want to cut out so its only the funny moments. Cut by left clicking on the timeline where you want the cut to start. The either click the razor icon or hit "c" on your Keyboard and hold shift to cut it all and then just left click where you want it. Then do the same thing where you want it to end. Then select the part you just cut out and right click it and hit "clear" and pull the rest back together. Do this throughout your video to only get the best moments. Its work but its fun and part of editing. Good luck.

Hey guys thankyou for the reply! I ended up using xsplit in the end which worked perfectly and was exactly what I wanted and the video is done now but thankyou :)
