Before a time of making videos that I believe are adequate for my standards I found myself deleting every upload within months of being posted to YouTube. The sound of my own voice would make me cringe and every single friend who watched my videos would tell me they are horrible. So why exactly did I stick with something that I was so obviously bad at? It's because the quality of my videos were improving as time went on. My commentary and editing was improving drastically. The longer that you stick with it the better you will become. I can promise to anyone who reads this post that no matter how bad you think you are or how annoying you think your own voice is, as time goes on you will improve.
That was the main issue for me but realizing that I was improving is what kept my inspiration. Here are other tips to help keep your inspiration as they also helped me keep mine.
-If you ever lose your inspiration go back to what gave it to you in the first place
I used to watch someone on YouTube called FrankieOnPcIn1080p. The cinematic editing and great commentary in his videos inspired me to drop console gaming, save my money for a year and get myself a beast gaming PC. When I wanted to quit all together going back to his videos re established the fire to make content. What I'm trying to say is if you become dishearten by your own content go back to the channel that gave you inspiration and try to reestablish it.
-Never start a channel to become rich
This should be obvious but if your main goal is to make a ton of money doing YouTube don't expect any follow up with it. People will know if you are in for the money and without a doubt no money will be had because of it. I will also cover something similar to this in my next topic.
-Starting YouTube to become famous is OK
There is nothing wrong to starting a channel to create a community and gain popularity. But if you really want to become famous don't expect results over night. Popularity on YouTube is earned not just given like in the real world. The only way to gain respect and a fan base is to create the best and original content you can. Ps. If you start YouTube for this reason GOOD LUCK.
-Upload your content to social media
When posting my content to twitter to my surprise a lot of my friends and acquaintances actually admired my work. Try posting on other sites like Facebook and Reddit you might be surprised by the feedback you can receive.
-Give yourself a schedule
Becoming used to posting weekly, daily, etc will make it more bearable when the editing, posting, and branding factor is what makes you annoyed with making videos. It is said that after 20 days doing something you become addicted to it so try it out.
-Listen to your own voice recordings over and over again
There is a reason why you hate your own voice. You are so accustomed to others that when you take the time to listen to your own it seems just "different." Practicing your speech will improve your voice over time and sound more alive in your videos. This helped so much for me.
-Learn how to take criticism and ignore trolls
This was huge for me, being told by everyone that all my videos sucked brought my spirits down but didn't crush me. I was still able to go on because not only did others know my videos blew I did too. Accept that you suck and need to improve and you will.
-Learning how to edit properly
Using and learning these programs will greatly improve your videos

Audacity: Voice Editing Software
Dxtory/Fraps: Recording Software
HandBrake: Video Compression Software
Handbrake is amazing for those who have horrible upload speed. If used correctly it can turn a video with over 20 gb to around 700 mb and still look amazing.
-You do not need amazing internet
Believe it or not having great internet isn't all that needed. When uploading a video you may find that it can take days but with a software mentioned above "HandBrake" you can post footage at amazing speed.
-Try to have a financial income before starting YouTube
Having your own income for games to record will allow you to go on making videos. I never wanted to buy a game in fear that no one will actually like the content from it. But..... when you have a minimal wage job at McDonalds at least you will be ok with spending your money.
-Collaborate with other You Tubers
I have yet to actually do this because there are a small amount of people I can bare in this world. In all honestly though this is probably the best thing you can do in this whole list. Friends make it a better experience when recording. Those who don't have any friends there is a really good website called yttalk.com that might help you.
-Intros are overrated
Some of the most popular You-Tubers don't have a fancy faze intro; so why do you need one? Having some introduction phrase is fine like the famous PewDiePie and Markiplier things like that so when people see or hear it they think of you.
-Consider writing scripts
scripts for your commentaries can improve your videos in unbelievable proportions. Better vocals and speech mean more than game play.
-Audio is greater than video
If you post commentaries or funny voice overlays to game play don't think that video footage is more important. I spent so much time thinking color correction and such is more valuable than decent commentary. Making someone laugh until their guts spill out will result in more views than any trick shot will.
-Brain storm in the shower
Seriously this the best place to come up with inspiration for your channel. A hot shower and plenty of time can bring a lot more than you might think.
-Don't be afraid to delete your worse videos
Like I said in the introduction deleting your bad videos can help you quite a bit. Having only videos that are good in your opinion of course will drastically improve your mentality.
