How to Grow?

Epic12

I Love YTtalk
Hello,

I've been posting here for a while now and some of you may see me as that annoying guy who keeps asking stuff, but how do I grow my channel?

I've looked at almost all of the guides on here, endlessly googled it, made social media, ect. But I'm not getting any results. I may be seen as greedy, but I feel that I deserve subs for the work I put into editing and ect. I know this is the case for hundreds of YouTubers and I understand it's all about luck, but to be honest, alot of the time I think it depends on sharing and so on and so forth. I think that YouTube is sort of like a game, your subscribers and video views are stats and obviously in games the people with the higher stats are known. Take PewDiePie for instance, most popular guy in YouTube and look at his following. YouTube can be likened to chess or to a strategy game, it requires thinking.

But I'm not getting any luck. :P Any thoughts?

Youtube IS all about advertising and such if you don't have a real life friend who's already famous/you don't get a shoutout from a famous Youtuber.

Some ways I can think of to help you
- Advertise on Twitter (not sure how to do that but I heard it works)
- Use Fan Finder (might work)
- DON'T spam on anywhere
- DON'T look desperate for subs and views when advertising.
- Make sure your content is actually watchable and entertaining. (I'm sure you already have this covered.)
- Make your channel look better. (aesthetics and stuff) Very recommended to stick to a theme with the avatar, channel art, and thumbnails.

1. Have quality content :) Then I mean good quality at the video with recording, sound,HD, etc so that you don't have an Let's Play that looks like it's recorded with a potato.
2. Good channel art... Good gfx art at your channel is a must have for new youtubers to attract people.. you need to use thumbnails that are appeling and that people wish to press at cause you only have 5 sec at an avarage to catch the viewers attention in the side bar with videos.
3. Upload constantly, be active and communicate with the current subscribers you have to keep the entertained and busy :)
4. Try to do something unic, (I know this is hard but try) Make something that nobody else did, make an let's play with an challange that no one else did and attract people.[DOUBLEPOST=1398507879,1398507847][/DOUBLEPOST]

Your everywhere O_O

Hope that I've done all of that above, haha. Wish I just got lucky sometimes. Has anyone got any other communities? Not that YTalk isn't helping, but for example a Lego one for my Lego videos and so on.

Also, Instagram is under-rated! Try it for a while. I started using it last week and gained a few subs from it (well, I'd say it was from IG but I'm not 100%).
