How to grow your channel

No matter what your channel is based on these tips, will help your channel grow.

So firstly, remember the 3 simple S's of life:

1. Short

2. Simple

3. Sweet!

Your viewers don't want to watch a 15 minute video when they're shorter videos out there which are based on the same theme as yours, so keep it snappy, also act yourself, I do this is all of my videos and I got the feeling people think I'm semi-retarded but I do it for my viewers, also get straight to the point, don't beat around the bush.

Secondly, interact with your users, you may ask how? Easiest way is ask them a question at the end of a video i.e. "What do you guys want to see?", "What you think of this video" etc. I've done this and I've actually received feedback from a decent number of people.

Thirdly, proper equipment, if you're a gaming channel don't record off your phone, I did when I started, however, I have purchased a capture card recorder and a proper headset, and it has paid off, think, I've got partnership!!!

Since social networking is the biggest tool for anything or anyone, create both a Facebook page and Twitter account, and started promoting your videos!

Tags are a key aspect when it comes to posting videos, some of you may know I upload COD content so in my tags, I use CallofDuty name as he's extremely popular so add tags which are popular.

And lastly, keep grinding, you may/may not see the results straight away, however, this will work. Look at me I started 3 months ago and i have about 85 subs and 8000 views

Alot of the "Grow your channel" posts tend to be the same... but still, good work on putting this together, I can tell you put alot of time into this.

I started uploading videos continuously not to long ago...a few months back and I'm still low on subs and views...but I enjoy what I'm doing and so do my subs apparently... or atleast they act like they do... mew mew mew

Honestly, there are no good tips for growing channels. You can start by making good videos, but beyond that you can only hope that people just happen to stumble upon them, or that you can get promoted by a larger YouTuber.

Another good thing I've had success with is advertising through merchandise. I've bought a few shirts and hats made off spreadshirt and you get a lot more interactive audience that way because they have seen it in person.

I agree with this ALMOST completely. The ONLY thing i'm "iffy on" is that when you're doing a full game playthrough, short really isn't efficient. I don't disagree completely because the playthrough can still be "short" in the sense of 15 min intervals. Nobody is gonna want to sit down and watch a 30 minute video of you trying to figure out how to solve a puzzle.
