How to Get Out There!

Hey y'all! So recently, I posted my first video, and I've really been wondering, how do I get out there? Like it's obviously not the best quality, it's my first time doing this, but I feel like there's a way to get out there. I want to grow as a YouTuber, but I feel like just posting videos every week isn't enough because of the way that Google filters results, like if you don't put yourself out there you will be on an endless chain of 2 views per video, 1 of which is probz your own. I've been trying to be really social and commenting a lot, and watching a lot of smaller YouTubers and just spreading positivity, which I'm happy to do regardless of whether or not it gets me more subscribers/views, but should I also ask them to check out my channel? Is that considered spammy? What are some tips, or any tips you have for getting out there? How can I find people to check out my channel? Anything you can suggest is greatly appreciated, have a nice day! and thank youuuu!!!!!1!1!!1!!
 
Be active in this forum, participate with other creators. Advertise your videos on social media, most especially facebook and twitter. Make excellent content, and learn from your mistakes. :)
 
There;s just one thing that makes wonders - post good videos.

When I started on YT I had no idea what is all about. By sharing good content I grew decent community without advertising. And I'm still doing nothing besides uploading new videos and my subs number grows (E-mails about new subs took over my inbox).
 
There are a few great posts on this forum about gaining subscribers. It won't let me link them, but just search in the upper right bar about growing a channel / gaining subscribers.

Tim Schmoyer's channel, Video Creators, and also Derral Eves' channel on YouTube are both really incredible for getting the ball rolling

You see how you said "without advertising", is"self-promoting" considered the same? Then where and how are you posting for it to not be considered "advertising"[DOUBLEPOST=1430920558,1430920522][/DOUBLEPOST]

You see how you said "without advertising", is"self-promoting" considered the same? Then where and how are you posting for it to not be considered "advertising"
 
I would first of all make sure that your content is strong, there is no point in steering lots of potential subscribers to your channel if your content is not going to make people stay! Once you have premium content that entices people to want to watch your channel grow then I would try to make sure that you use social media well, and try collaborate as much as possible :) Best of luck! :)
