Hey guys, I've been YouTubing for around about two years now and its starting to annoy me that I haven't really been growing or getting any recognition at all :/ AM I doing something wrong? Should I make a new channel? I'm just confused as to why my channel is getting no growth :/

Tips on how to get an audience (not just views or subs): Also these tips were given to me from a you tuber who is quite successful (over 100k subs).

tip 1: The 15 second rule (some people say 30 seconds, but its really 15) - This means you have 15 seconds before I am going to stop watching your videos. So avoid long intros, boring rants, or mumbling/bad quality in those first 15-30 seconds. You have to get an emotional response from your viewer within that short time period (emotional response includes:Laugh, hate, love, oh that was cool, wtf?, GROSS!, ect.)

tip 2: Keep me entertained dang it! - What this means is after you got them hooked with your first 15 second hook and baiter. Now you have another 30-60 seconds to keep me here. Again you need to make me have a emotional response to something (look above for what I mean). The bigger the emotional response I get, the longer I will stay (a small chuckle, another 30 seconds. A uncontrollable laugh, 2 minutes).

tip 3: Be original - This one is easier then you think. Don't try and act like someone else or something you think might be funny. You need to act like yourself (but more personified). sort of like an exaggerated version of yourself. Your ultimate goal is to make people want to hang out with you. This will make them a fan, and not just a sub/view. This one you need to be consistent with as well.

tip 4: Be humble - This means that no matter who gives you advice (big or small) If it is good advice, take it. don't give excuses about why you didn't do it, just say... crap good point! and then fix the problem.


I say this so much I need to just put this in my signature XD lol. But I can't seeing as I am not vip or something 0_0. Or its to long. Frankie is that to long to put in my signature?
 
Vlogging channels take a while. I recall when I first made my gaming channel, I had my first 200subs within a month. For vlogging, it took me the same amount of time but only because I redirected all my active subs over to my vlogging channel. Hang in there bro, you'll grow, it's just a slow process when it comes to vlogging.

Try writing a script. It works for some people. Personally, I prefer to just go at my vlogs. Like I'll write some pointers down in regard to the topic but 95% of the vlog is made on spot. That's just me though. I find that my scripted vlogs are boring imo. Some people need time to come up with a video via planning, try it out.
 
You need to be more consistent with your upload. Let your viewers know your upload schedule.

Good points, all of them. The 15 second rule should be spread around more. I hope I can live up to it. Some of my songs build up a good setup, so I hope the visuals play their part there.
