Hi! There are many guides about getting more views. But if you really tried them, then you've probably noticed that not everything worked for your.

So this topic is a place, where we can discuss methods and techniques that we REALLY tried and share our results and experiences.

I go first. So at this point I tried: Reddit, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

Reddit:
- Submitting my links works pretty good for me. I have comedy channel and there are many subreddits where people actually wanna watch this types of videos. The down side is that you have to be veeery careful. They simply HATE self promotion. If you get caught - than you are screwed.

Facebook:
- Posting links in groups. There are sooooo many groups where you can post your links... but most of them just don't work. People use it to spam their own links and no one actually watch posted videos. I've seen situations where posting one of my videos in about 15-20 groups made only about 10-20 views for me. Which is just poor.

Google+
- Posting in groups. Same thing as with Facebook. Most of them are just spammed with links that no one actually watch.

Twitter
- Responding to Tweets of people having YT channel similar to mine. Doesn't actually worked for me. I got few followers. Maybe if I post much more tweets then it would be better. Definitely requires much time but might be worth it. I should try it more.

haha but um creating good titles that people will search for and adding 2015 in because not everyone adds the year which really helps, I think, because then your video will be getting views up until the year ends. Postng links does work because it will go in a cycle from twitter to google+ to youtube. Creating the right tags is one of the most important things.

haha, that video in your signature was funny. If you would have grabbed some Jesus Juice and took a huge gulp of it straight from the bottle and then just ate a bunch of the crackers like the Cookie Monster on Sesame Street, I think you would have more views... I have tracked down some sites from Facebook posts that post dog videos and other stuff like that. I found that a lot of these sites have thousands to millions of likes or members. I have gotten lucky enough to go either to their website or Facebook page and share with them... Every once in a while one of the bigger sites shares the videos and then suddenly I get thousands of views over the next couple days. This is also my method of selling T-shirts without paying for advertising. Here is the graph of embedded views on other sites for this month. Some of these sites randomly find and post my videos, others I actually do the footwork and share with them and a few get through. I'm still looking for a site that will get me a million views on a video.

One way is when I suddenly see a spike in views, I'll go to playback locations and focus on that day to see if it was embedded views. Then I will go to their website and see where my video was posted, etc. Then I will check to see if they have a Facebook page which the normally do and I'll find my video on there with tons of comments and likes. Then from there it's experimentation time to see if they accept submissions and share them either on their site (if they have the option) or share to their FB page.

The other way is when I have seen friends or random Facebook pages post videos with tons of views. A lot of times it is a page with an embedded YT video. Then I go to those areas and see if I can get the same luck. If a page likes your video and think it will give their page a lot of views, then you and the Facebook page and often their main site benefit from extra traffic.

24% of my lifetime views come from embedded players on other sites. Some of these are caused by me sharing, other times random sites randomly find my videos on their own. It's cool when you cause your own view explosion though.
