How To Get More Subscribers?

So I have been doing YouTube for around six months now, but most of my subscribers (51) are my friends at school. I am finding it very difficult to get the views and subscribers for my channel. Obviously I am not just doing YouTube videos for subscribers and views, I love making and editing the videos. But, i also want people to actually watch my videos and I want my channel to grow. Also, this summer I want to be posting a lot of videos, as I will have a lot of free time - eight weeks of it! So I don't want it to all be pointless and only get 30-50 views on videos which is what I am getting at the moment. So I was wondering if any of you have any tips and tricks to boost subscriber and viewer numbers, without buying subscribers of course.

Never spend money to BUY subscribers. This is the first thing you have to remember. To organically grow your channel, one thing you can do is promote your videos lots more on social media. Let it spread out to the world. Then, secondly, you can also interact with bigger YouTuber's videos so the YouTube community can actually see you. Then, also, you can hang out more here on YTtalk to help other content creators so you can get noticed more! :) Have fun!

Just power through and keep at it. The more videos you have on your channel, the more chance someone has to click on one of your videos. Everything starts off slow so aslong as you enjoy making them just keep at it. Rome was not built in a day :)

There aren't really any "ways" to get more subscribers, Really if your channel is entertaining and you yourself enjoy watching your videos then that's step one, Step two would be to focus on getting views instead of subscribers, As people who watch your videos and truly like them WILL subscribe. Other than that then nothings gonna be fail-proof.

Now as to HOW you get those views, Well it's simple, Be engaging with your audience, Or target-audience. Always comment of videos similar to yours, And I don't mean spam; I mean to just watch videos that you enjoy from your category, Surely there are some. And then comment on them ( DO NOT COMMENT TELLING PEOPLE TO GO TO YOUR CHANNEL, NO NO ) If you do not want to comment then don't. Only if you truly have something to say then comment. This way people will see your comment, People who agree will you will go to your channel to check you out; If they like your trailer, And watch more of your videos, They will subscribe. That, Is the economy system of Youtube, Just like any other system out there, you give to take.

You can use adsense to spread the word if you are busy, other than that, having friends in the youtube community helps BIG TIME, motivation and cross promotion, but the biggest way to gain views is high quality original content posted at the right time, it can be something about a current event or even something random that somehow fits the criteria to cure boredom.

Actually I am in not state/position with those much subscribers to give my Advice! But I would like to share with you my experience with getting SUBS! ;)

Create more content, remember content is king. Interact with the community. Find the videos that are trending and create your type of content based on these videos. Talk about topical things. ENGAGE in the community and in the comments of your videos and other people's videos.

Think of the next 8 weeks that you have "free" as a job. Spend 8 hours actively working your YouTube channel. Reach out to blogs who may be interested in posting your videos on their site. Work your social media sites. Make sure that your videos are optimized with the best titles, tags and descriptions possible with strong keywords. Read and implement the YouTube Playbook.

HOpe that helps.

Social media is probably one of your safest bets, you can interact more with people and keep track of who likes what easily! I recomment Twitter and Instagram, they helped me a lot :)
