How to get active subscribers.

So right now, I have about 68 subs, but I'm getting an average of between 5-10 views per video. Now, I'm not expecting all 68 to watch all of my videos all the time, but at the very least, I feel I should be getting closer to 20. Anybody have advice as to how to get active subs, or maybe get some of my inactive subs to start watching my videos???

-Usually family and friends who are your subs check things out regularly.
-Also, if you want active subs I think you should communicate with the e.g if they post a comment on ur vids, you have to reply back to show them that you care about them and they have someone that gives them attention.
-try maybe every month inbox them one video to remind them or keep them updated ( but it can get annoying and lead to decreased subs)
-try to ask questions in your vids to make it more exciting and feature comments, everyone want someone to feature them. For example ask a random question like "who came first, the egg or the chicken" and you will have so much comments in reply because people want to find a place to express their comments so give them that chance. I like to call this the teleported effect on youtube.
-try to post at least one video a week. Sometimes subscribers forget that they had subbed you, therefore you have to remind them that you are still there

- Really good advice, actually! Thanks a lot, I'll definitely keep this stuff in mind. I know family and friends are your #1 subs, but my family doesn't really care for what I do, and I do have a few friends that watch.
- I see how this can be helpful, but I am not totally into the idea of doing this. Maybe once a month is a good timeframe, thuogh.
- This is a good point, I might try to do this a bit more.
- This I do. I usually post 1 video every day.
 
Has anyone noticed a spike in comments and likes after they have started talking to their viewers more through the videos?
