How to gain exposure on Youtube

How do I get more exposure? Last I checked I have maybe 40 views overall. Outside of me and my familiy most views come from yt. Which is great but it's still a little low. So my question is how do I draw more attention to myself and get people to watch my videos? Also are there any other sites that are good for pulling viewers?

I only have 46 subs but I have some ideas:

1. Keep posting more videos, over time you will gain more subs and views.
2. Make sure your videos have proper titles, thumbnails and tags.
3. Post your videos on twitter and use searchable hashtags.
4. Join google+ communities and post your videos there.
5. Post more on yttalk and then when you get $100 buy VIP and put a video in your signature. That is how I got the little box with the video you see below this post. I currently have ~800 total views and over 100 of those views came from the yttalk signature.
6. Also just keep posting stuff in yttalk people might check out your channel. Most of my first subs were from yttalk.
7. There are forums on yttalk where you can get channel/video reviews to try to improve, request people to make graphics and music to make your channel better, and request collabs to grow your audience. Plus just tons of tips and things you might not have thought of.
8. Comment on YouTube videos with relevant and good comments (not spam or self-promo) people might click your channel because of it especially smaller YouTubers.
8. Just keeping going most people don't get tons of views overnight.

1. Collaborate with other YouTubers.
2. Make sure you actually make videos about a topic that people want to watch.
3. Use paid advertising.
4. Use YouTube Fan Finder (it's basically advertising on YT which is free)

Also go on twitter make an account. Then, go to unfollowers and sign in with twitter. Then on the top it says automate, click on that. Then automate your message to send message to whoever follows you and say hey check out my youtube channel and post a link. Heres a tutorial that shows you.

Thanks for the advice! The google+ and channel review are two things I haven't tried yet but defiantly will?I've never even heard of the fan finder before so I'll need to check that out. :D[DOUBLEPOST=1423094012,1423091981][/DOUBLEPOST]Great tip. I pretty much do that now anyway but I manually type them every time. Lol thanks[DOUBLEPOST=1423094027][/DOUBLEPOST]

Great tips you have there :) Here are some that isn't covered
-Join Facebook youtube group. You can mingle with people that share the same interest and share your videos
-Create Twitter, how does that work? Socialize with people.. How? Tweet them, make friends. Do not self promote.
-Create Vine, post 6secs clips of your content.

One thing I learn and research is that, no matter how much you promote, if you do not have a good content., ur viewers will still end up clicking away. So good content plays apart.

Last but not least, you always have to socialize no matter what... People will notice you :)

Good luck!
