How to 'fake' better quality?

AmberAndGolden

I Love YTtalk
so, I don't have the best quality in the world.. In fact, It's pretty bad!
I can't afford an expencive fancy camera or huge £80 lamps to light with.. So,
How do I 'fake' it?
Are there any lighting tricks or mic tricks that can get better quality
What kind of lighting should I use ect?
Any advice thats cheap!;p

(not sure if this is the right forum, I appologise if its not!)

I just watched your most recent vid on hair care.

As a general comment I thought it was very good. I could see your personality coming through, and that was the most engaging part of it. As people always say, it's the content of the video, not the quality that is king!

That being said, If you're able to export the audio, then one trick that I do is to bring it in to Audacity (a free PC program) and re-master it in there before recombining it with the video.

Good luck with your vids.

Go to TheFrugalFilmmaker on YouTube, he has great ideas for getting a polished look on a microbudget.

Back in the day, when lighting actually mattered for what I did, I was taught to never use natural light as it is as unpredictable and uneven as it gets when it comes to lighting. But who knows, that could be different for vlogging.
