How to deal with trolls?

I get why people get frustrated by them. I used to, but it's so old now. Even if they are really offensive, I just move on. I'm referring to my old 2007 channel.
 
I have a personal policy of one and done. If I think someone is being a troll, I'll talk to them as if they're not, and if they continue with the aggressive/offensive/angry behavior, I block them. Usually, the first time works pretty well. I recently had someone say something negative about my appearance and I said, "That really hurt my feelings," and they immediately said they were just kidding and they were sorry, and they have been pretty quiet since.
 
Ignore the haters...on my other channel I have TONS...LITERALLY TONS of people saying bad s**t bout me or whatever...its all apart of the business...keep pushin...not a big deal...lol...I laugh at most of them...and if U have loyal substers they will defend u...which is fun to see...but no big deal...its the internet...no ones opinion really f*****g means anything
 
No problem yet, that I know of... I suspect a person or two is starting to follow my videos and giving them a thumbs down on the latest vids.... but they're coming....especially with my channel, haha.... it's the internet, they'll always be around, haha

I have the same problem. if they want to waste their time finding my videos and disliking them, so be it. I'll keep moving on haha (:
 
I would limit a troll to 1 or 2 responses because that would be enough to tell if they actually are trolling you or not. I have not been trolled on YT (yet) but I would only block a person if I was being harassed, and by harassed I mean them sending me private messages and trolling me on every website they can find me on, or if a fan of mine was being harassed by them as well. Even if someone is being a jerk, you can't block a person for having different views or disagreeing. Even if someone went and disliked every video I have I still wouldn't block them, because they have every right too do that and 1 dislike doesn't stack up against all the likes I have.

I did however block a guy on Twitter the other day because he put me on a twitter list called "child molesters" simply because I like the game "Undertale" I was told that the only way to get myself off his last was to block him, so I did. Some people just have a screw lose.
