How to cover something up in a video

My light switch in the background looks really ugly in the video it I'm really happy with the video apart from that!

I there a way to cover it somehow? I use iMovies
 
I do not use iMovies but may be just put over some picture or logo. For example take a picture from the wall behind you and put it over the switch - it will become "invisible".
Or if the light switch is close to the edge of the video may be use a little bit of the zoom function and it will "go out".

What are you using to edit?

The technical response is: use After Effects to create a mask that's content aware.
The realistic response is: cover it up as per chottom's advice.

However, it's probably not even noticeable to the average user, and you're the only person unhappy with it ;)
 
That's a really good idea about the take a pic thing. Might try that

I didn't realise you could zoom out on iMovies I not sure how to do it?
