How to block channels?

Im 63 y/o and not quite up to it when it comes to computers. I keep getting these cheezy horrible sites coming up on my YouTube selections when I first log in. Is there some way to block them? I found I can block a whole row but not an individual site?

I'm not sure if you can block an individual channel, blocking a row shows that you are not interested and youtube should show you less of that kind of content. As you watch more youtube can see what types of videos you watch and the sites on the front page should change to reflect that. So keep crossing out rows that you are not interested in and eventually it should start showing you things that you might like hope that helps!
