How to become YouTube verified?

I got an email about youtube gaming being introduced, and at the very bottom I noticed it said any questions reply to this email. so i did. and he invited me on a session to inprove my channel and after that i got invited to another session a month or two later, to sneakilly show youtube gaming before it was live, it was awesome :)

Cool!! Was it like a private session or were there other YouTubers?
 
I have better luck winning the lotto than getting G+ followers. It is hard enough to find people that use G+ let alone follow you.
 
I am Verified and have been since March last year, right now it has absolutely nothing to do with Google+ followers... it did when I got verified but that has been changed for a year now.

There are currently two ways:
1. Through your network - Don't believe it when they say they "can't"...it's that they WON'T... they can contact their YouTube partner manager and have you verified very easily...all networks can, the question is if they will.

2. Through YouTube support - If you go to the help center and see the "contact us" at the top right... then you can apply via the YouTube administration option and complete the email form, in order to even see the "contact us" option you need 19,000 HOURS (not minutes) of watchtime over the last 90 days (check your analytics and calculate the minutes into hours).

Again, it has nothing to do with Google+ followers and you don't necessarily need 100,000 subscribers and it's literally just a tick... there are no extra perks or features that you get.

I can get verified on YouTube, Google+, Dailymotion and Player.me...but unfortunately not on YTTalk :( lol

hey nice info, i got verified not to long ago, but I wish Id known this earlier! could have had it with the watch time :D
