How do you know the ads aren't coming from Content ID claims, as has been mentioned before?

Well, you cannot simply assume the channel is monetized then. I've seen recent instances of channels terminated for multiple copyright claims alone as well as for multiple copyright strikes; so anyone who now thinks they can post unlicensed copyright media and get away with it is standing on very shaky ground, in my opinion.
