How Often To Change Channel Art

I changed mine recently as I've had it for a few years and it was just a screenshot from one of my video's cropped. I knew people were used to it so I wanted to keep it as similar as I could but just improve on it. Lightsenicon.jpg this was the original, you can see fromt he one im using in this site, I've basically traced over it, and gave him a better expression along with a new background. People who were familiar with the first one should still recognise the face (or that's what I hoped anyways :))
 
I will most likely change mine when my channel is launched for good but I don't think I'll be changing it that often, if not just for optimizations to it. For now it's very generic though and I just use my picture as the avatar.

I think as long as it reflects the theme of the channel (mine is going to be about MY goofiness and what-not so it makes sense branding my face)
 
I love to update my channel art :)
I usually update my banner every 2-3 months. When we start a new series on our channel, I update our banner to match that series.

I also sometimes make updates to thumbnails.
I'm not very good at making good thumbnails, but I gradually get better at it.

I think it depends on type of channel as well. If you are a vlogger, I don't think you have to update your banner that often.
But if it's something you like to do, I would say; Go for it! :)
 
I personally change my channel art alot its actually really annoying to me but i keep finding that i can always make it better
 
I'd say about every big event or every year. Don't change it every month unless that's what you like. But in all professional business I say every 6-10 months.
