HOW OFTEN do you UPLOAD?!

I'm been wondering about this a long time. Does upload frequency matter? And how frequent is a good amount?!

Obviously frequency does matter. Recently PrankVsPrank Jesse complains that because he doesn't upload daily anymore, he's losing a lot of views and it's all because of YouTube algorithm.

There is no way I could upload daily. I could bearly make it every week because of the time and effort I put in each video. PLUS when school starts I'll be swamped with work #architecturalstudent problem argh


So what do you guys think! Am I doomed?!

No you are not doomed But like you pointed out "Obviously frequency does matter."
I think it depends on your goals. I see a lot of channels out there with barely NO new videos coming but they are still growing (I guess because of good videos and good SEO).....
Dont worry to much about it. You got the time you got to make your videos and then do the best job you can do with the time you got

I upload Monday-Friday and give myself weekends off to recharge the creative batteries. It is hard to upload 5 days a week...but it's the commitment I made for the amount of time I have available to make videos. If you can't upload daily you won't be doomed. You need to balance everyday life and youtube so you don't burn yourself out!

I upload every Saturday, it takes us about a week to actually finish the video so it's fine we have been having some growth since our channels birth so it's fine just keep making content and see what happens!

I upload bi-daily. I did go to daily but I dont think it worked for me so switched back to bi-daily which I find manageable.

every single day, i always like to make sure i have a video ready for 4pm every day up until sundays which are up at 12 midday, UK time, for me, it could take 4 hours to render a single video with a potato pc of mine but i love the grind so

i upload daily content which is the best way to grow but if you do that way also make sure your content is top notch than you will see some serious growth if you have amazing daily content which i like to think my content is good

I usually upload once every 2-3 weeks. Sometimes 4 depending on the video. But that’s because my videos take a lot of time to put together

Good point! But I really want to build my audience and being passive isn't going to work I find it extremely hard to gain exposure and daily content will.

At the same time is... is quality more important than quantity? In some ways quantity will get you more exposure[DOUBLEPOST=1501628445,1501628414][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's a really good point. That's exactly I thought.

If you upload daily for perhaps a month or so, and then turn back to one per week (for example after my school start), would you lose fans because you're not "consistent"?
