How often can I use Ad breaks?

If a video is 10 minutes or longer, I can choose when to have an advertisement in the video. Are there any rules for this? Couldn't people just have ads like every 15 seconds??
 
Usually YouTube optimizes the ads for each video using their algorithm. If your video is, say 11 minutes, they will only put one ad in. But if you are doing a let's play of a game that's an hour long, they'll put in 4-5. Depends on the length of said video.
 
Depending on the length of the video, the minimum time between mid-rolls is 7-10 minutes.
 
for mid-rolls ad you need 7-10 minutes length video if your video become popular maybe you will have 4-8 mid-rolls ad in one video :eek:
 
Ad break is something you can use when a video is 10 minutes long. It allows you to place more than one ad on the video, but I'm just curious how many times I can put them on my video?
 
I would not recommend putting them in videos shorter than half an hour. People get seriously pissy when they've decided to watch ads for a YouTuber and yet the YouTubers seems to exploit that fact.
 
But are YouTubers still allowed to put them in whenever they want? Like every 3 minutes or something?
 
If your video is over 10 minutes, you may be allowed to insert ads at the 7 minute mark or later. I believe that you can schedule one every 7 minutes. However, putting too many ads can alienate your audience. Make sure that you are creating content that is 'worth' people sitting through the ads.

Personally, I schedule my midrolls while I am making my video. I plan a spot where I can say "coming up next..." I don't just randomly plop ads at the 7 minute mark.
 
For me I can type in whenever I want to place an ad, but I want to know if it's allowed to just have them whenever you want. For example, in one of my 10 minute videos I have 3 ads in total and I'm just worried if that's okay to have or not.
