How Much Time Do You Spend On Your Videos?

I find that I spend between 1 and 2 hours per minute of video that I produce. That means a ten minute video could take me 20 hours from start to finish, writing, shooting, and editing.

What is your experience?
 
It depends on what type of video. If it's a vlog type video it takes about 20 minutes to edit/render. Half hour to shoot and ten minutes to write. But if it's a more in depth sketch it can take up to 60 hours...some times more.

Can you give me an example of which video took you 60 hours so I can watch it?
 
Writing shooting and editing. My sketches that are alot usually take that long some even longer than that. But just the editing part for a 10 minute sketch is just 2 or 3 hours.
 
Honestly, it just depends on the episode. This last one took like 10 hours to edit (it was causing my computer to freak out). But normally I'd say about 6 hours total per Thursday sketch. Our Random Monday vlogs take about 2 hours total.
 
I think this depends on how you define "time spent on" my videos. I don't edit, they're just one-shot vlogs, so technically 10 minutes. Then again, I normally spend a fair amount of time in advance thinking about what I want to talk about. This includes conceptualizing the topic, laying out an outline of my topic and how I want to argue it, and also do any research I want. I then normally recite the topic a couple of times, to get comfortable with saying those words in that order. Then I have maybe 5 takes or so. In the end, it's maybe three total hours for my five minute long vlog. Longer than you might think, but still far less than many people spend. :/
 
Well, video games are typically the type of thing you can record and edit fairly quickly. I record, fool around with the audio for a good 20 minutes, and watch the video a couple of times before I upload. All in all, I probably spend between 1 and 2 hours.
 
Depends on the video. If it's a simple "Let's Play" style video that'll take very minimal editing I'll spend like 10-20 minutes editing max. If it's something like a Battlefield 3 montage there's no telling how long it takes to shoot and edit a bunch of great clips together.
