How much do you script your videos?

Watchoo lookin' at trick
So I get that there are some videos that you're just talking about stuff so they don't really need to be scripted or anything, but when you're doing a skit or talking about something that involves research/opinions etc... How much of it do you write down or practice? I find I have a hard time remembering what I wanna say, so I sort of write it down and read it as I go. If you have any tips on seeming more natural when doing so, etc... feel free to share!

Usually I just script the main concepts, alot of it spontaneously comes to you while your filming.

If I'm talking about something mildly technical or giving opinions I find that if I wing it a lot I sound like an idiot so I script the whole thing. But some videos I just talk, I have a vague idea what I'm going to start talking about but I distract myself easily and tend to drift for the second type I script nothing.

That being said when I'm reading off a script I just say what feels right which sounds naturally like me anyway, but I do kinda kick myself for doing that because it means I need to go back and correct it for my captions file

We do not script at all. In fact John never even knows what the video is about till he is sitting in the chair watching the question for the first time.
