How many views should one expect for the first video?

So, I'm going to upload my first video this Sunday. It is a comedy show in which I review viral videos, news, memes, and other interesting stuff from the internet. How many views can I expect in the following week?
My first video didn't do well until I changed the title, tags, and description about a year ago. It was getting maybe 6 or 7 views a day for about 3 or 4 years, then I updated the info and it immediately shot up to about 100 views a day about a year ago. Now a year later that same video is getting 200 a day with the same info, not sure why it picked up. I think it's because I uploaded a second angle of the weapon firing and annotated the alternate angle in the other angle's video. It's all in strategizing and a little bit of luck buddy.

Unless you sharing the video around to your friends and to some people on forums (without spaming them) you shouldn't expect any view.
but if you do share them around, I would say 100+

That's how I managed to get 700+ views on one of my videos, and 500+ views on my other video by putting my videos on message boards. My other uploads have less than 100 views.

To the OP. Sharing your video on reddit also helps get your video seen.

I would expect ~10 views or less.

Work on SEO, as it is very important. Think about posting the video as a response to someone who automatically allows responses (not likely to work, but maybe)

yea but for your first video.... idk if you'll rack up that many views. it's possible....

It depends on how you promote your video and how many subscribers you have. When I posted my first video I got around 50 views because it was something that was trending at that moment. Now it has over 800 views! You never know! There's a chance that you can get 100+ views but don't expect to have tons of views the first day/month/week. It takes time especially since it's so hard to discover new content on Youtube nowadays.
