I think content creators will always be around
In regards to making content specifically on Youtube? Google's generally pretty innovative/on top of things, so it'll hard for other companies to get a competitive advantage over it and it'll keep it's monopoly for the next 5 years.
On the other hand, apparently Youtube is still making a loss for Google (dem hosting fees?), which means Google is thinking of different ways to increase it's revenue... I'm not sure how well YoutubeRed is doing, but yeah, if they mess up here and implement something really derpy, it could send viewers / content creators flocking... maybe to Amazon or Facebook video (if they happen to enable pre roll ads in the future) or a creators own site? I think this particular situation is super unlikely, but it's interesting to hypothesize
