How long should my content be?

Hello, I have a few starter problems... i realy dont khow how long my videos have to be. right know i make gaming videos that are most likely between 20/30 minutes but that got me thinking... is that too long for a starting channel? because after a minute or 10/15 i run out of things to say. Is this the point where i have to stop my recording? or should i just go on? but that should mean that the last 10 minutes are a bit silend.

I say once you stop having things to say stop, my videos are all 10-15 minutes depending on what was happening in the episodes. Just my opinion though

All I can say (as a non-gaming vlogger), it's your vlog. You ought to do what you feel fits you and your channel. If this means you only have videos that are 10-15 minutes long, so be it. There is no set range of time that videos have to be. You get to define your own rules here. I think you'll be fine no matter what that is--I mean, I know a YouTuber that makes 20 second long videos that always really surprise me with the amount of thought that is put into them.

Videos should be as long as you need to tell your story. Check your Analytics, specifically your Audience Retention, to see how long viewers are watching your video.

It depends really travel vlogs seem to do well at round 9 to 13 mins long gaming videos anywhere between 10 to 30mins, sit down vlogs around 4-6 mins long and skits seem to have shortest ideal running time at often 1-4 mins but that just what have observed.

I've started to make my gaming videos roughly about 20-30 mins long, I understand what you mean for new channels (I'm one myself) but I just don't think I'd enjoy it as much if they were shorter like for let's play videos you wouldn't get much done in each video to say if they were about 10-15 mins long

Although it is your channel its your job to try to cater it to your audience. Go by your audience retention in the analytic and adjust accordingly.

Low retention views can actually hurt your channel so making 20-30 min videos are usually a bad idea.

As long as you can hold their attention.
At first I would go short a sweet until you earn their trust.
I know personally I will almost never click on a video that's 4 or 5 mins + unless I know the channel already.
I mean I watch 20+ min videos from Marvel Explains now that I know what to expect from him.

Lure them in , make them like you , then you can do an hour if you feel your viewers are on board
