How long should a break be?

So i see lots of youtubers that generally take breaks, some for a month, some for a day, what do you guys think is a good amount of time for a youtuber to take a break? I think like a weekend should be a good average. How about you?
(Btw when i mean break i mean like putting out videos)

Depends how much time they spend on youtube, if they are spending 5 hours a day making videos without fail, i think that entitles them to take off as much time as they want, But only upto a month other than that its too long

Take a break for as long as you need to to recover, its about making good content, not putting out content you don't like for the sake of putting it out :)

I think it depends what the break is for, if you've broken an arm it might be rather tricky to record stuff or if something tragic has happened to your family. Holiday-wise, I think everything from two days to a month is acceptable.

I agree with this, take whatever time you need to :)

Depends on how constant they upload videos, if they are every day, they deserve time off when they feel its getting abit too much, but if its like once a week, they get alot of spare time any

i have taken a break from gaming for a week now, and i will be back tomorrow :) i think a week will be enough, not to much or to less :D
And ur subscribers will miss u to, and ofc is that a good thing :D

We've missed one day since June 2010 due a medical emergency. With the scheduled uploader, there isn't really a good excuse to miss days now. If you need a break from making videos, make sure it's long enough where you don't take another one right away or you'll end up losing your audience.

I just took a vacation after uploading a video every day since September 2011. However, during the break, i was still connected to my viewers through Facebook and Instagram
