How long does it take your videos to upload?

I have a 5MB/s upload internet connection, but when I upload videos to youtube, speed doesn't even go higher than 1MB/s, sometimes even as low as 4~500KB/s, takes forever...

I have the same speed. I can't seem to get it going faster than 1.5MB but I just chalk that up to computers talking to computers and just stay happy I'm doing 1.5MB.

For a 10 minute video mine can take anywhere from 120 minutes to 180 minutes.

Sometimes one of my 10 minute gaming videos can take up to 500 minutes to upload, and I think its pretty ridiculous.

Anyone know of a way to make it upload faster without reducing quality? How fast do your videos go up?

All depends on Internet speed and video compression.

-Compression Wise i would be using H.264. Or Lagarith compression. You can download them on websites and import them into codec folders for programs. H.264 is basic for most programs. But Lagarith is not. I would check it out if i was you.

Also make sure you have no other programs running in the background and you are not doing anything else on the internet. Either that, or someone is stealing your internet via router and killing your bandwidth!

A 3 minute video in 1080p takes no more than 15 minutes for me.
