How long did it take you to get 2k subs?

I made a bet with my friend that I would reach 2k subs in 2 years, at the end of august (when I had about 100 subs). Is that reasonable? How long did it take you to get 2k subs?
 
I'd say it's reasonable. I started properly youtubing at Xmas '12 and should be on 1,000 according to my current growth estimates by mid-December. I see no reason why you won't hit 2k within 2 years so long as you put out decent quality videos that people will enjoy watching, and will work at it if you're not quite there.

Big tip - if you ask for feedback and someone comes along and offers it in a blunt yet constructive fashion, don't b***h them out for trying to help ;) I know you didn't ask but just thought I'd share that one, because often the next train of thought will be "what am I doing wrong" and people don't like to hear where they actually are going wrong, even when they ask... ;)

but good luck :) you might get there, all channels grow differently because all channels are different
 
I've been sitting under a 1,200 subs for some time now. Been tough getting more subs, but I would assume it's partly my fault as my uploads have been erratic lol
 
Well it took me about a year to hit 2k subs. But I once got 2000 subscribers overnight for a collab I did with Onision. So I'd definitely say it is possible!

If a big channel does a collaboration with me, that would probably leave a long term subscriber spike, which would be great!
 
lol 2000 subs took me like a year to get, maybe even longer, its always tough at the start!
But now im getting 2k about every 35-40 days.
