How long did it take for your channel to get subs?

Just a curiosity of mine. How long did it take for your channel to really take off? Or hasn't yours yet?

I always try and ask bigger youtubers this but their replies are vivid. From what I noticed it seems to just be chance. I like hearing peoples stories though!

We found ourselves hitting the 25 mark within a week, but since then it's bombed into nothingness in terms of growth. Just something that you need to keep plugging away at :)

25 is good though! I do agree it seems like you have to be very persistent.

Definitely. I've seen articles and things around that suggest a 6 month average to gain a decent following, so it's just a case of plugging. Although that can be totally negated when you factor in that some people are just naturally hilarious or can make things look outstanding from the get-go. Just all practice, at the end of it :)

I'm trying hard at it now. I'm at 124 and I'm committing myself now to 1 video a week. So hopefully that helps my channel get a little bit more popular.

After more then one Year I assume that the audience is the first few Months always on the fence if you really like what you do and therefor are worth to being followed/visited on a regular Base. I`m not really creating Content that you could call For everyone but it took around one Year till I saw an increase in Views/Subscriber and things are keeping going straight up after that mark was hit.

The longer I`m creating Content for my YouTube Channel the more I see the same folks hanging around/commenting/Like or Dislike Stuff and telling me why it does rock/suck and so on. While I still doesn`t call it an huge success it`s still kinda madness when I look back and compare where I have been a Year ago and where I`m right now.

Overall I`m still enjoying every day and looking forward to see where this hole thing will lead one day since I have absolutely no plans so far and just let it run as long as I can enjoy it without feeling the pressure of having to impress someone or actually have to do anything on time to keep things as they are.

Haven't had luck with that yet, but I can understand it's probably because I have very few videos up at the moment and I haven't really figured out what I want to do exactly, so I jump around here and there. I have 7 subs right now and only like 3 people are total strangers that I don't talk to in real or on the internet, the rest are friends and family.
Views matter to me a bit more at the moment, because of that challenge I take part in, every view matters.

I'm not exactly sure. I've made it a point not to be too conscious of the numbers because it could pressure and influence the way/pace that I make my videos. But I guess being on here has helped at the moment. There was an initial surge when I created my channel a year ago.

There are also some periods that I'm just really active in commenting and replying to people, because that somehow helps build familiarity and trust (essential because YouTube is a whole pool of strangers). More people that noticed me commenting got curious about my channel I guess and it started there. I hope that continues because I just love making new friends. I'd rather have a few subscribers that turn into good friends than a whole lot of strangers.

Ah, que sera sera.

on my other channel i got 70 subs within 2 months or 3.well, it was about gaming, and gaming community grows pretty more, but my videos, and my old pc specs werent good enough and i stopped my series. :(
Now this one got like 8 or 10.its about nightcore music-not a fary famous kind of music so..

I think it takes a while to get subscribers if you Looking to get more host giveaways and also do collab with folks and also upload at least min, twice a month. Get your subbies involve
