How important is Branding and Design?

Hey guys RedCoat here, I personally think that it is very important and that is why i have put so much effort into making my new channel as branded and recognizable as possible for example i put hours of work into my channel art and intro/outro so that any viewers that i get will think my channel is professional and worth subscribing to. Anyway what is it that you guys think leave a reply below?
 
I think its extremely important (if only I had the skill myself to everything I would want) it definitely makes a better impression on a viewer when a channel has that professional look. Also really like your outro very smooth :)
 
I think it can help a bit if you are small youtuber to have good branding/design so people could easily recognize you in thousands of other small youtubers :)
 
I think it is extremely important. However, I am terrible at it. I know some graphic designers and such but they are all professionals who I would have to pay A LOT of money to get to make a logo and such for me. It's so important though that I'm trying my best to work something out to make my channel look more clean and professional. I think your channel looks very well done as far as branding go. It's very clean cut and easily recognizable, and then your intro and outro is very well made too. It all looks very good together. Great job.
 
I think branding is important in terms of avatar, channel banner and a nice end card or something for your videos, doesn't have to be over the top though. I think one of the biggest things design wise is getting your thumbnails looking great on all devices, probably the hardest thing and something that will take me ages to crack.
 
Branding your channel is the equivalent of expressing your personality, so the potential viewer can see what your personality is like before even watching your video, its also important as it means you will be unique.
 
getting recognizable is the point. When someone remembers yoyu when he sees a video again. That creates the effect that he thinks your content is good (if he likes it) and subscribe because he has seen your content once..and recongized its you on another video he liked
 
Its important, theres a lot of small time youtubers trying to get noticed, the more professional, clean and personality defining your channel looks the more chance you will be seen, liked and gain subscribers. See branding as a restuarant, if it was a s**t hole would you eat there?? Nope. I need to get my new computer quick time so i can do everything properly.

Yes definitely, branding is SUPER important!

I've branded and made all kinds of related content to really make things look solid. It's the difference between those who are thinking long term vs. those who are simply just making a personal channel in my opinion. Branding is done by the top youtubers with millions of viewers (Thats what I've seen anyways).

Keep at it, one step at a time, but whatever you do, don't rush it! I was told by many that trying to rush by getting fake subscribers or holding contests can only get you fake or useless users who really aren't interested in your content. They either signed up for your prize offer or they became a subscriber through some other means and not because they really like your content. May be useful for looking cool, but not really worth it imo. Maybe I'm wrong, but from hearing from others around the forums and in person, it seems thats the right way.
