how I should start off

I have not started posting on my channel yet because I am hesitant on the fact that there are not very many young you-tubers like myself being only 14 should I wait and keep learning new skills and pursue some other things while I wait or would it be good to get ahead of the game and start sooner rather than later.:help:
 
One of the best ways to gain new skills and refine old ones is experience. That's my opinion. Also I found that the more videos I've done I seem to be getting a bit more confident each time (not much mind you).

He's right you know. In fact, starting my YouTube at age 14 helped me learn new skills as well, I've made intros, Made several graphics and video edits, and I got a chance to use my music for montages in games.

One thing I will say is that there were many videos I deleted because due to technical difficulties mainly, I could not finish videos. And I absolutely regret removing those as many were fantastic works from me.
Also, just be wary of YouTube comments. Even if you get a negative comment or dislike somewhere, it means you're getting views, and contrary to popular belief dislikes help videos get attention.

Also, when starting out I was a little embarrassed to show anyone I knew personally my videos, and I rely on friends to this day. Showing videos to the people you know, and possibly having them share videos over social media is probably the best way to start out.

that is my current plan at the moment and I hope it worked out for you and I hope it works out for me. My thoughts were if rumors spread as fast as they do in my school I hope that's how my channel will turn out to be.
oh and not sure if you noticed your link doesn't work either.

There's no right or wrong age to start youtube, and I wouldn't say age can effect your success as a youtube either, as long as your content is good and appeals to the audience you are trying to attract then go for it! Some of the biggest youtubers started at young ages, it gives you time to learn and grow from feedback whilst you don't have to worry about things like exams and university :D Hope this helps!
 
Just start doing it. You will learn the fastest if you just start doing it and keep doing it. Being a Youtuber mostly costs time, it doesn't hurt your bank account...
 
I agree with everyone :) I think you learn more by doing it.And if your channel is not going where you want, then start over. The only difference will be that you will be more experienced and have an even better chance to succeed. :) I recommend to just do it! :)
