IDEAS
The internet is your oyster. It would be wise to make videos that appeal to your youtube channel niche. If you are a gamer, find a game that is doing well on youtube and make videos.
Take a game that you really like playing and make it your own.
If you are a vlogger, think about what you can talk about. make things interesting and appealing.
Research is key.. If you are a news reporter that is the main way you find out what you are going to talk about : RESEARCH.
Find out what is trending on google, the recent most popular videos and make a response to them.
SCRIPT
Try make your script funny by using satire and ironic behaviour. Lots of people need a good laugh, and love watching comedic videos.
The wittier you are with your ideas the better.

The rest is editing and promoting.
