How has Youtube changed your life?

That's such a cool story, I'd love to go to work and do youtube haha! I had to overcome a lot of fears and anxiety to get started on youtube. Generally I'm a very confident person, but I was terrified of being ridiculed and told I was rubbish, so I put it off for some time. I was a food blogger for 6 years prior (a medium that seems to be slowly dying) and so I plucked up the courage and transferred over to youtube, much to the support of my blogging fans! Which was surprising as I thought they would all leave haha. Anyway, 6 months on and I don't even think about the camera being on, I just do it without thinking and I believe there's a massive difference from my first video, to my latest. I just wish I had done it all sooner ☺

Phew, big time. It made me go from "I have ideas for videos/want to be an animator" to actually creating and putting out content for an audience on a schedule. It also re-shifted my goals in a way I never expected as my life goal from early on was to have an animated television series. That'd still be awesome of course but with YouTube and the internet coming into my life-TV certainly isn't the end all be all of my goals anymore as having my animated series be on YT is also appealing (and the no middle-man part helps too as it sadly still seems pretty hard to sell executives on female led stories, although 2017's looking mighty nice for film).

So yeah. A lot. :-D
Incredible! That is awesome! Yea it also helps to release content on a regular schedule. YT helped me do that to.

That's an awesome story man, bet you would've never imagined yourself doing YouTube 5 years ago haha. In regards to me, it's made me a lot more confident and disciplined. I've also learnt a lot in terms of marketing and taking the judgment of others and caring a lot less

Trust me I felt the same way when I first started. Afraid of judgement and what people would think of me. But overcoming that fear has improved my confidence tenfold![DOUBLEPOST=1485951706,1485951256][/DOUBLEPOST]
Haven't encountered any life changing events yet but I'm sure it'll come soon :)
They will come! I promise![DOUBLEPOST=1485951791][/DOUBLEPOST]

Never man! I would have never guessed this outcome lol, but it's a path in my life that I'm grateful for everyday!

I have become much more organized with my time. Since I know I have four videos a week I need to get out, I have time set aside for each one, and I'm super on-top of my scheduling.

I've also been way more creative since I started making videos. I was finding it hard doing my play writing when I wasn't doing anything between theater projects, and now, I have ideas and am way more motivated to write these days.

Plus, YouTube has introduced me to a ton of new, cool people! Including all the folks here!

While researching history and politics for my main channel, I've learned more reading and researching during my two years on YouTube than through my four years in college.
YouTube has forced me to learn, to be better, to acquire new skills, and push myself to the limit; for that I will always love the site.

Awesome man! Its has done much of the same for me as well, organization, time management, and creativity![DOUBLEPOST=1485962115,1485962063][/DOUBLEPOST]

I have learned so much from tutorials and things like that. I am a visual learner.

It's mostly just helped me with my confidence. I use to be really uncomfortable in front of the camera and I was afraid to put myself out there like that. Once I started doing it, it's just gotten easier. So, I'd say it's had a positive impact.
