How has Youtube changed your life?

Hi! My name is Nick and I recently started working for a construction company. I figured I would be doing construction work when I was hired on. I was surprised to find out that my boss wanted to venture into the world of YouTube. He had already had his company channel created so I was left to film and edit the videos! Mind you I have little to no experience in this field lol. I had to watch instructional videos on how to film and edit, help from other youtubers lol. But I have been learning as lot more about photography, cinematography, and editing. This has changed my life! I never had an interest in this type of work until now and I believe it to be something I could make a career out of. It has been a crazy an exciting adventure for me but I am grateful everyday I go to work now! I learn something new everyday. So my question is this. How has YouTube changed or affected your life positively or negatively? In what ways are you different than before?

Thanks! Nick C.

It brought me out of my shell a lot. I made some friends, lost some friends... Luckily, seems like I'm in the green.
Nice man. Yea its had the same effect on me as well. Improved my self confidence.[DOUBLEPOST=1485904212,1485904143][/DOUBLEPOST]
Helped me with getting comfortable with presenting stuff and finding ways to be more creative.
Yea thats awesome! It has sparked my creativity too!

Phew, big time. It made me go from "I have ideas for videos/want to be an animator" to actually creating and putting out content for an audience on a schedule. It also re-shifted my goals in a way I never expected as my life goal from early on was to have an animated television series. That'd still be awesome of course but with YouTube and the internet coming into my life-TV certainly isn't the end all be all of my goals anymore as having my animated series be on YT is also appealing (and the no middle-man part helps too as it sadly still seems pretty hard to sell executives on female led stories, although 2017's looking mighty nice for film).

So yeah. A lot. :-D
