How Google+ screwed me over

I want to share my experience with Google+ and new YouTube accounts with you, because I got nothing else to do than whine on an internet forum.

So, as some of you might already expect, I got a YouTube channel. My YouTube channel is called "FruitsnifferHD". I called it that, because "Fruitsniffer" was not available and I really wanted to use my everyday name. (Funny thing was, that there wasn't really an account named Fruitsniffer, but a deleted channel that wasn't being used anyways.)

A few days ago, I stumbled over a video telling me, that I could change my YouTube channel name, if I connect my YouTube account with Google+. I really hate Googe+ but let's give it a shot, shall we? I mean, as far as I know, ChaoticMonki (aka Cryaotic aka Cry) also changed his username like that. He changed it from ChaoticMonki to Cryaotic. The only place where you can still find ChaoticMonki on his channel is in his url.

So I tried this out, linked everything up and got a Google+ account I knew I would never use. And guess what? It changed my name to Fruitsniffer. Obviously my channel-url stayed the same but whenever. I left a comment on a video and now it said Fruitsniffer and not FruitsnifferHD. That's good, right?

The funny thing is, that when I looked up my channel in the YouTube search, it said

I think you get what I mean. Why did I change my channel name now, if it still says FruitsnifferHD there?

That's when I got desperate. I really wanted to get rid of that HD there. I created a new YouTube account, HAD to link that one to Google+ and called it Fruitsniffer. Everything fine now, but guess what? I couldn't use user/fruitsniffer as url. It was already taken by some deleted channel and my url was something like this: user/ahsigjybsngjkshghsualgo
Also, I couldn't separate my YouTube and Google+ channel. That only works with old channels and the worst thing is, that I could find no way to make my Google+ page completely invisible. I mean, can't a guy have some privacy?!

I decided to give up and stay with FruitsnifferHD. It just makes me a bit sad that I got that ugly HD there. It's not like anyone posts videos under 720p nowadays.

Ever since Google took over YouTube everything is turning s**t. Am I the only one that has problems like that?
 
Yeah that sucks but the HD at the end isn't that bad IMO lot better then some compromises people had to make in channel names.But I do hate the whole YouTube.com/ruwvuwge15272884shd stuff.

P.S YouTube started in 2005 and was bought by google in late 2006(pretty sure that is right), so it's not really like they bought it recently and messed it up, google added tons of features over the years
