How fast Youtube channel should grow?

To be honest I guess it kinda depends on what you post and how you do it
When I first started my first video got me 20 views and around 20-25 subscribers the first month and I posted every other day and tried to edit them the best I could

I hit 1000 subs around 7 months after I started uploading guitar content. I'm at a year and a half now with 2300 subs. It seems slow to me but then I see stuff here that makes me feel pretty fortunate. I follow all of the "rules" though for content creation, consistency and quality and that helps. There's more than a little luck involved though! Keep swimming!

There's really no baseline to gauge how fast some channel should be growing. If you're targeting a large audience, you can hit the stride right away, but the competition is likely numerous and fierce. Alternatively, you can target a relatively small audience and grind for months, years and only get minor incremental growth over time. My channel belongs in the latter category, but I'm OK with its current growth rate. I know it's possible to grow faster, but for that to happen, I definitely need to change and improve a few things this year.

Definitely in the same boat as you wondering how fast I should be growing or not growing. But I have kind of decided to mainly stop worrying about it and just make sure that I am enjoying what I do. Because if all I care about is focusing on the growth then if I don't grow I will get burnt out.
