How does your country of origin affect your channel?

I know YouTube has some algorithm for selected countries where you can't view/see some of their content and stuff but its usually not about someones country of origin which dictates whether or not their successful but their content.

I don;t care if their from Germany, Antarctica, Japan or New Zealand, if the content is good and it makes me laugh/smile then thats what grows a channel. Not where their from or their situation but how they carry themselves and how they present themselves.

I don't think my country of origin as such affects my channel...my accent when speaking English and lack of eloquence from it being a second language might though ^^

Well I live in Romania, the country with best internet speed in the world, BUT the people in this country are not a huge fan of english channels, so most of them watch gipsy music called as Manele here, so most channels here has to relay on english audience.

I do slip in jokes about being British sometimes since I sound so "posh"...but I really like having a variety of countries watching. I try to speak clearly, have a really standard English accent, and caption my videos - bit of a shame to hear Romania doesn't like English channels much though!

Well in my case all the channel from here are freaking music channels -_- and since they are damn famous I can't even reach the top 100 channels from this island lol
