How does one Promote their youtube channel?

See im not a big fan of it, people come on to my old channel and said that when i know for a fact they didnt watch it and like it because the stats dont change. If someone does it to me i delete the comment, if they do it again i block them. So I'm not going to be doing that to anyone else sometime soon. But then again its someone opinion so whatever works best for you
Yes but you can see if they subbed you. Like I said, if they sub and say something nice about my video then it doesn't bother me. But no, I never do it to other people's videos.

Lol, because you don't really need to anymore ;). but I agree with @WilliamRayWalters why bother with someone spamming in your videos. First it takes time to remove it, while they might (or might not) have watched your video. Second, like if even anybody is going to read it and even click to see their channel.

But yes, even though the general thought in this community spamming is bad...
When I'm very bored I do spam in other channels. Doesn't cost me much time and I do get genuine subs from that, and even funny conversations.

I used to think it's bad and it doesn't work, but my experience is telling me another story

Well I do have a bunch of channels and a couple fairly new ones as well. I've done it in the past )advertised by saying 'check out my videos' in comments on other videos) but I never really had much luck with that anyway. I've had more success with sites like Reddit, Facebook, etc and even some good results with paid FB and YT advertising.

Hehe, I was only talking about spamming. I usually say something dumb to catch their attention. I do search for new videos (you can adjust your search in the search to search for videos newer then 1 hours old), there I get 'good' reactions.

Usually other ways of promoting is more effective, and that's also hard work. I'm considering indeed using earned youtube cash to do Youtube advertising, testing that out...
