Hey!
I've been wondering why is being a part of a network allow for much more freedom when monetizing youtube videos?
Why do gaming channels need networks to monetize their videos? I've heard that networks don't actually have the licenses we believe they do. Their ability to monetize gameplay comes from... somewhere else?
What do networks do differently than a youtube partner does? I feel youtube wants to avoid being involved with lawsuits, so when a claim pops up they just accept it and slap it on your video.
Basically how do networks work? I'm not asking about how it makes money (views, ads, clicks on ads, ad view time, etc). How do networks function. How can they make money without fear of being sued?
