How do youtube generated channels work?

Hi, I was just wondering about these auto generated youtube channel about a specific topic (for example #astronomy). So do any of you use them and is there any why to help get your content onto them.

I don't use them directly, but one of my videos was automatically added to one of these channels. It has generated some traffic for me. To get you content on one, you'll have to use appropriate tag. I think each of these channels are associated with one particular tag.
