Cool thread. I do sit down and talk videos, so I have a note on my phone of topic ideas, which I add to as things come into my head. Some ideas I can wing, such as telling a story about what happened at the airport. Others need more planning, such as talking about how to deal with parents. I never script, though. I just have bullet points or general ideas. Once I am ready to record, I set up my camera, take a quick video of me saying hi so I can check how I am framed, and then I record the video. Once I start talking, if I think something came out wrong, I'll just say it again, better. Sometimes, I'll repeat an entire segment of the video if I think I can deliver it better. Other times, I just let it roll and hope it came out right. I'll probably end up shooting 10 minutes of footage, half of which is obviously bad and the rest of which I will pick and choose the best parts to keep the video under 4 minutes if possible. I love editing, so this part is really fun. As part of editing, I'll make sure cuts are as precise as possible, add transitions if I feel a cut is too abrupt, color correct if needed, add music, etc. (I do this all in Premier Pro.) Throughout this process, I will render a few times. Once I am done, I export and upload, and add my end card annotations. Also, I will take a snapshot of part of the video and machete into a thumbnail. I think that's it. Anyway, I just recorded and now need to edit, so I guess I have plan!
