How do you write your script?

I used wordpad for awhile. And I now switched to Celtx.com. As far as I am concerned it is really no different then notepad but I like that it syncs up with my phone.
As far as writing the script I kind of break it up into sections. I will give you and example of my last script and add explains with it.

Before purchasing the set from Artify I used the Loew-Cornell Brush Set, Pack of 25 that can also be found on Amazon for 6.27. I will leave the link in the description as well.
(Giving another option of a cheaper product I have used)
I will say if you are just starting out and also in situations where you will be sharing your brushes with other people I would recommend the Loew-Cornell set. At such a low price point you wont mind sharing these brushes with small children or others who are not likely to take care of your brushes.

But if you are going to be painting often I would definitely suggest Artifys set. They are of better quality and because they are a bit more expensive and they are for only my personal use I make more of an effort to take care of the brushes.
Artify helps you maintain your brushes by providing a great carrying case that doubles as a stand to make it easy to grab the perfect brush for any situation.
The vast verity of brushes gives beginner painters like myself the brushes I need and enough brushes I have yet to try for plenty of room to grow.
With the carrying case and brushes Artify was nice enough to also include a Palette Knife,Sponge, and painting tray.
I am excited to learn how to go about using the palette knife and sponge to enrich the variety in my paintings.
As for the paint tray. I have purchased paint trays in the past. But I found it difficult to mix paint in the tray so I switched to paper plates.
However after many paintings I have found that because I buy the 2 oz bottles of Apple Barrel paint in almost every shade of every color I rarely mix paint. So I believe I will be switching back to using paint trays because of this set.
I also love how each brush is numbered. I can already see this making it easier to let people know what kind of brush I am using during painting tutorials.
My wife had also mentioned and I agreed at how impressed we were by how well the brushes are maintaining their shape. This is very important for me as many of my paintings require a lot of line work and using a brush that doesn't want to keep its point can become very aggravating quickly.

As far as coming up with new material. I have a few types of videos that I do.
Painting tutorials - I try and keep them seasonal so hopefully when that holiday/season comes around people will be more interested in checking them out.
Art Supply Reviews - Is just that anything I use when I do a painting at some point I will do a review.
Mobile Paint - This is a series I started. Doing them is quick and easy they don't require a lot of editing makes it easy to post two days a week. When it comes to what to paint I try and keep it simple it can be hard painting on your phone.
Speed Paints - This are paintings that I have done then I speed up the video to try and keep the video around 5 minutes or so to keep people interested. These paintings usually aren't really seasonal in natural and are also easier to edit then doing a painting tutorial.

if you want to talk about a specific topic, its good to just have bullet points on it so you can look at it and just start talking about it, sometimes having a script sounds forced. as for skits, you can look up how to make production value scripts. but all you need to write is the character and what they say or what they do.
an example could be
person 1 walks up to person 2.
person 1: blah blah blah
person 2: blah blah blah
person 2 slaps person 1
you don't need to make it crazy, just write what you want to happen.

Well, when I did my Sonic Unleashed (Xbox) and Sonic Heroes reviews, I knew what I was gonna pick apart and wrote scripts around those as well as around some random and sometimes fever-induced idea. Then I'd play the games and do some editing of the footage and add to the script or take away as needed. With my current review coming up, I pointlessly started an outline only to realize I should prolly just cut down the gameplay I recorded and script around that.
In general, random ideas come to me and then I script around them.

My videos are super-simple, so if I need a script, I create a bulleted list of the points I want to cover and keep it next to me, just out of the camera's view. For just about all the rest of my videos, I just improvise and allow the editing process to become my script writing.

I don't usually write a script, unless it's a skit, which I'll elaborate on after. But I tend to think that my best work comes from my improvisation, and so I avoid limiting myself to thinking like a linear script.
As for skits or short films, my writing process is pretty intense, I usually start with a super simple draft, bullet points, and not adding a lot of detail, then I revise those points and maybe re-arrange them if need be. After that I add detail to specific points and start merging them (don't usually add any dialog yet, just camera movement and plot narration).
After that I start a first draft, take my points and start writing around them, filling space with transitions and other details and adding dialog where needed.
My final draft is usually where I just finish adding dialog and make minor tweeks to camera movements and such!
I also just use Word to write, and colour code the characters and camera directions!
Hope this helps at least a teeny bit!

Sketch comedy is usually based around one concept or one joke. That could be a stupid pun, or picking on a certain thing that you think is funny (For example how American's say some words differently, tomayto, tomarto. Don't use this, its the joke from someone else's sketch.)
The when you have your joke, you want to think about how you could incorporate it into a 'real life' situation, add more dialogue, give a bit of story, maybe a dramatic ending or something, and your sorted.
Script writing is the easy part, and unless you're with a company with big budgets, simple scripting is fine, as long as you understand it. I tend to put the title at the top, write my shot descriptions and actor directions in brackets, and then speech always gets a new line.

The script comes naturally, or from previous notes, but in any case I always split it into different parts that will help me organize my recordings and my editing.
Everyday, I modify and polish it, adding details or changing/adding/removing sections. That involves reading it over and over again until you find something cheesy or wrong :v
I also include the musics that I will use for different parts, or the visual details.

I started using Google Docs a while back with my tablet (barely did anything). But now all my scripting is done with it. I can work on the script anywhere. it's awesome.
And for 10 dollars a month, I can back everything up with dropbox. I just have a folder for dropbox on a separate hard driver. Anything in that folder is automatically uploaded to dropbox, so it's backed up on the hard drive AND the website. But if I delete anything from the folder, it's removed from the site.
