How do you turn on subscriber notifications

hi i was having trouble turning on subscriber notifications when i heard you could do it help would be appreciated.

Click on your channel icon on youtube, then go to settings, then notifications on the left sidebar, then under "unsubscribed emails" you should see "Someone subscribes to my channel", click on the resume link next to it.
