How do you reply?

How do you guys reply to people that view and comment on your channel?
Do you look up their channel and what they do?
Do you reply back to everyone that replies?
Or do you just ignore some and reply to others?

I personally just thank them and look at their channel to see if it interests me, what about you guys?
 
pretty much the same thing you do :) right now replying to everyone since there's not a lot of comments on my videos
 
At the moment I reply to every single comment I get. Because I enjoy it, I get great satisfaction from talking to them. I suppose though if you get to thousands of comments per video, it's going to be near impossible to reply to all, as much as I'd want to
 
I reply to any comment that is repliable... if that makes sense lol
Sometimes I also check out their channel. Most of the time it's people who are only watching videos, and not content creators.
 
If you're small then you're probably able to write back to each comment (Aside from the hate comments unless you want to have a little banter ;) I personally think that thanking people for commenting is a little generic (It's great to thank people!) but the bulk of the reply is more interesting and engaging if you reply directly to what their comment was about or better yet, open up a dialog with them.

I try to reply to everyone's comments, but I tend to only check out channels if someone has shown they are genuinely interested in my channel. If it's an obvious post to try to get me to visit their channel, I'll just thank them for watching and leave it at that.
 
I reply most viewer's comments. I usually make some sort of response based on the comment they had, answering any questions etc. If they just say "nice video" I just say "thank you". I don't actively ignore commenters (except ones that just say "hey." How am I supposed to respond to that? Another "hey"?), but some comments slip through the cracks as I don't have that much time to devote to it.

I don't generally look up a commenter's channel unless I met them elsewhere, like yttalk or a networking event, or they mention collaboration, or their channel looks very intriguing and professional.

Yes, I try to reply to all insightful, quirky and engaging comments. Also to any questions from kids, such as how old the kids are, and where do we get toys, or the giant surprise eggs.
95%+ of our comments are from viewers with no channels. I do look up all viewers and channels that posts hate and abuse, in order to report or block them. I don't generally look up s4s channels unless they make a comment relevant to the video.
No, many of our comments are from very young kids who "mash" the keyboard resulting in gibberish.
Yes I ignore all gibberish and s4s and link dumps, which are deleted
