How do you record your gameplay AND video cam when recording?

I never really understood how to record webcam. Everytime I look for a program its always some weird trial, or there just isn't one. What do you guys use to record your webcam while you're recording games or what have you?

That's why I don't use a webcam, but use a regular home video camera instead for face. (When I do face) :O
I think you can use Windows Movie Maker to film your webcamera, though, can you not?

can you really? I had no idea. I was never able to find a straight answer for my questions and I don't really have a video camera to use as it is now, though that gets me thinking I'd like to expand to that if I keep going with my channel

Depends on what you use, I dont do facecam but Mirillis Action, which is what I use, gives me the option to add a facecam by selecting a camera which is connected to my phone. So with what I use the program gives me to option to do so, I can even choose where I want it, but like said above, you could just record with a camera which is not connected to the pc, you can also just record the webcam with the software which should be brought along with a webcam.

I have a program that came with my Logitech webcam that records it, then I just sync the two different videos using both of their audio.

I use fraps to record my gameplay, but i'd recommend Dxtory if you can get it set up :)
In regards to the recording of your webcam windows movie maker is more than sufficient you don't need a fancy program to record your webcam!

Dunno if I'm late to give advice but I use three programs for my gaming - Bandicam to record the game and its sounds, Audacity for my voice, and OBS for webcam. I haven't had any problems with overtaxing my computer and it is a pretty ancient one as far as technology goes (6 years old). :)

OBS. It's free and really easy to learn (I watched a 15 min tutorial then tinkered with it). Pretty much you select what games/windows/monitors you want to capture, order them one on top of the other, and can crop/resize them. All you have to do is select the game (keep it full screen) and your webcam (shrink and move it to a corner).
