How Do YOU Promote Your Videos

OMG,same problem man, people talk about me everywhere i go in school, and all ghe conversation i had is only about my videos,I was extremely frustrated as i can't have a ''normal'' talk for a while.
I guess being on YouTube is the closest thing a lot of people have to being famous, and they just cant quite handle something like that.

I put links for my videos on FaceBook, but most of my friends don't watch them... They are bulgarians and therefore they don't speak english... It seems like a wasted opportunity...

It seems like a lot of you guys mentioned facebook, any particular reason why you prefer that over other social media sites?

How I get views on my channel:

I post my videos on forums and news sites, FB and Twitter. No less than 10 places and as many as 50. I keep as active as I can on any forum where I post. I answer any questions folks might ask. If I can get somewhere around 2000 views on a new video in the first day then Youtube starts suggesting it. There is also a baseline of views I get through searches due to the type of content I put out. I figure once I get to around 20,000 to 30,000 subs they will do the initial viewing for me, then I can concentrate on just making videos and fan management.

Personally what I do is hang around the high street and keep an eye out for anyone with a phone that has YouTube capabilities. I then stop them and harass them until they watch all my videos and subscribe to my channel :)

i post them in reddit and get like 0-30 views ^^
twitter and tumblr are a good promotion plattform too if you use the right #tags
i tried facebook once but didn't get what i wanted..

youtube itself helped me only trough commenting on other videos but not that much either
google+ has communities where you can post your videos. that's what i'm trying right now :)

Tumblr, mostly. It goes very well if your target audience is young adults. Submitting them to other blogs that are about the same thing as your video. Google+ communities help too, and I haven't had any bad experience yet with the people on there. :)
Commenting on similar videos n YT, not asking them to check out your channel (!), just post a good comment, try to help people, etc.
I also got some new subscribers from this forum (yay!^^).
And then also Twitter (only works if you've got thousands of followers I guess, nobody has clicked on my links on there), sharing on Facebook,...
