How do you Promote your old videos?

Lately, I have been really busy and I'm not able to make videos often. I was scrolling through my old videos and some people told me that instead of just working on your new video, you should also promote your old videos. With that being said, I'm not sure where to start when promoting my old videos. I already posted the video on all the places I can, and did the best I can with SEO, thumbnails, and titles. Please give me your two cents on other ways to promote my videos.

I wouldn't bother to be honest. Youtube already considers it dead, it's probably not generating any traffic for you I assume? Turn the time you want to spend on promoting old videos into making new videos instead :-)

Promote them the same way you promote new ones, just keep posting to the same places you usually post but after some time, of course. Then again I do agree that spending time creating new content is probably better

A great way is the end of the video screen, you can offer up 2 old videos the viewer might like. Outside of that realize when you advertise a video in any place, most likely those people haven't seen it. So while to you it's old, to them it's just as new as the day you made it.

Just mix it up in playlists is another option as well and pointing card/annotations to it.

I don't think that there's much use in promoting older videos. YouTube really rewards new content, and so if you have time to focus on anything, I'd spend that time making new content.

Just reading these other comments made me realize I don't know anything about youtube's algorithms! What exactly makes a video considered new? Under one week?

One of my best videos is an older video that keeps getting some views. I think that's mainly through really good tags that I pretty much lucked out on (it felt like).
