To be honest in my opinion yttalk is not a good place to promote your stuff but rather a great place to learn where promotion actually makes sense. So why is that?
People who come to yttalk are rather creators than consumers. That makes it already pretty difficult to convert them to viewers compared to other communities. Furthermore you have a pretty wide variety of interests here. So it's very unlikely that somebody who is active here will be interested in exactly your content.
What I do to promote here is to be very active by helping out as many people as I can and have a video in my signature that is most likely interesting for any kind of creator. I also use the video section but I rather do it for SEO as the engagement rate for my content is not really impressive here.
If you are willing to read threads of other people and probably even better to participate in the conversation you will most likely learn how to find your target audience. There is actually lots of tips from very big YouTubers here but you need to be willing to get into other people's posts.
