How do you make YOUR channel original?

Do I even need to explain? As gaming becomes one of the largest segments of YouTube's population, it must be a nightmare to get noticed. Most people say that originality is always a good way to get your head above the rest.

I'm trying my best to do so. How do you do it?

I'm also trying to figure it out how I can be original... But well it's just a matter of time I suppose and what people like.
I'm trying to get in touch with the people who watch my videos and ask them what they thought of it... That way I adjust my videos to my viewers.
I just recently started on youtube so I don't really know how to be original yet :(
 
You can't be 100% original. Everything has already been done. The only thing you can do is make the stuff you want to make. No matter if it has already been done before. As soon as you create something it will have your own flair. Unless you are trying to emulate someone which I would advise against. No one likes a fake.

I <3 you... In a co creator, I am happily married with two kids, similar thinking person sort of way.
 
I have a gaming channel too and theres one thing that ive noticed that somewhat upsetting but has also helped me out a bit.
First off I play Pokemon games so it doesnt get much more broad than that, but there are several different variants and ways to do it, so one of the ways i really push myself is by uploading about 3 videos a day, then streaming on the weekends, i consider it original because im much more active than many people who do the same exact thing.
Now what made me upset was i used to always take advice from comments from people.
For example, I had a series that would get a good majority of my views, but i only uploaded it once a week, then someone said they would love to see it as a daily series. I made it daily, and at first it got a lot of views, then it slowly started going down. Now ive changed my schedule again, and lowered how much i upload that series and its back to its normal views. So one of the things that i think helps is constantly changing what you upload, doing large varieties and then circling back around to them seems to keep people interested in what youre doing!
 
Doing talk-to-the-camera videos is terribly unoriginal, and it's virtually impossible to talk about things that aren't already all over social media. Like Ellellevlog and TheDutchTexan, I just act like myself and hope my inherent weirdness and peculiar worldview allows my videos to seem somewhat fresh. Having said that, I am always worried that I am unconsciously copying my favorite YouTuber, Grace Helbig.
 
I think what people love about a lot of gaming channels is how enthusiastic and funny the people are. Look at KSI, one of the biggest YouTube gamers - his old stuff was so funny and it made you want to watch more and more. He's an absolute nutter!

In terms of being original, it can be quite hard but just try to make your videos as good quality as possible and maybe add some stuff thats personal to you/your channel (intro, things you say, way you edit, games you play etc.)

I take interesting videos of these guys. Their personalities are pretty unique. Also I do weird things with my GoPro. I still haven't shot flames at it, I keep forgetting to do it.flying.jpg flying ollie.jpg
 
I believe in iteration over innovation. Do what you love to best of your ability and be better than everyone else. It's impossible to be original anymore because like everyone said, it's been done. So instead of trying, I think it's better to try be the best.
 
I think the best thing to do if you are making video it helps not to watch similar videos to what you want to make because i think you would end up copying that sort of video, so to make it your own i would just be yourself.
