How do you make seasons on youtube?

Alright so I think I found it but I cant post links so here's how you get to it.
Google "youtube shows playlist" and click on the "Organize content with channel sections", should be the first result.
On the bottom it says "Show and series section", and you're good to go :D

That's cool, I didn't even know this was a thing, though its viability over a regular playlist seems limited to very specific types of content.

While I'm here, does anybody know if you can use a custom image for a playlist thumbnail, or do you HAVE to pick one from a video inside the playlist? Seems like for seasons you can upload your own - which I'd love to do for regular playlists.

I'm not sure if it's beta or not.
I recall seeing that feature already in 2013
