How do You Maintain Camera Energy?

I've Got It
I find my energy doesn't translate on camera, so I'm wondering if any of you can share techniques you use to make sure you appear energetic and engaging....without being corny and annoying...on YT. I try to talk a lot louder than I normally do and use facial expressions, but I just don't feel all the energy when I watch it back.

Try turning on the camera, and sitting there for awhile. Relax, start have a normal conversation like you would with anyone, about anything. Treat the camera as if it were another person, a friend your are comfortable around, and see how that works.

I've never thought of that ! :D
That is pretty cool, I might give that a go next time I do a gaming video.

Thanks for that :)

Get your 8 hours of sleep the night before, drink a lot of healthy fluids, and do some light exercises right before filming. While filming, say everything in a classic "YouTuber" kind of way; going a bit higher in pitch and as if your talking to your best friend that you haven't seen in ages. Add a little smile in there once in awhile and don't forget to drink fluids. If you need to do a line 15 times, do it. You'll be able to choose from a variety in editing and pick the one that conveyed the message in the most engaging way. Be positive. Good luck.
